GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST,

I wish to begin by expressing my sincere appreciation for the outstanding leadership you have provided our Jurisdiction. Your leadership has consistently exemplified vision, integrity, innovation, and spiritual guidance. I am deeply grateful for the privilege to serve as your Episcopal Adjutant and as a pastor within our diocese; it has been a distinct honor for me.

I am writing this missive not only to thank you for your leadership and for the opportunity to serve in our Jurisdiction, but also to humbly request your permission to establish the Elim District. I do not ask for this responsibility lightly, as I am aware of the tremendous burden that comes with this task, having observed your time as the Superintendent of the Peninsula District and having served under the leadership of Administrative Assistant Michael Golden, Sr.

I am grateful for the leadership of my superintendent, Administrative Assistant Golden. He, along with District Missionary Deborah Golden, has been a blessing to my family, ministry, and me personally. I am asking to establish a new district for two primary reasons: an unshakeable burden from the Lord and what I believe to be a God-orchestrated collaboration among a few pastors that began over the past several months. These pastors would like to continue working together while joining the Church of God in Christ, specifically the Iconic Virginia Second Jurisdiction. This district will exalt Christ by serving  the congregations that are a part of it, while supporting the vision of our Prelate.

Enclosed with this letter is a packet containing valuable information regarding the proposed district. Thank you again for allowing me to serve in my current capacity as your Episcopal Adjutant and for prayerfully considering my request to establish a new district within our iconic diocese.

In His Service,

A. Paul Paige
